What’s New with DocQ: July 2021 version

To know us here at DocQ is to know that we like to operate and run our system with efficiency. Anything that comes new with DocQ is aiming to make your day to day processes simpler and ultimately increase efficiency in daily operations. We are looking to release new features monthly going forward that can offer our customers just that, efficiency. This post will consist of details and information on some of the new features that we have been working on behind the scenes at DocQ.
To kick off this blog, we will be highlighting one of our newest features, the ability to e-sign documents within the webform.
It is not news to anyone that you can collect data needed for a document template from a webform. With DocQ, you can now define signature fields within document templates, and collect said signatures within the webform. This is where we are able to push forward that idea of efficiency. You now have the option to collect eSignature without the need to confirm via email.
With this, we are looking to create a more seamless transition between the form filling and the signature collection process while maintaining a simple view.
Now we wouldn’t want to change the subject for anyone too quickly to start, so we kept this next feature in the same wheelhouse. We figured that no one loved the process of data entry, not to say that no one enjoys it (you know who you are).
The feature update that we wanted to highlight in this section was the implementation of webform dropdowns from external lists. Prior to this release, if a user had been using SmartRecruiters for example, the user would have to copy and paste the the values for each single-select one-value-at-a-time. This enhancement allows users to simplify this process and remove errors with mass list uploads or copy/paste the would be list in just a few steps, as shown below.
This process prior to the update was a tedious and error prone process that needed careful attention. It would have been used when a user is creating a webform that has a dropdown designed to collect information and would have consisted of extensive lists of options for the person to choose from. We have made it so the user is now able to upload long lists of options into a dropdown easily.
We hope that this feature will create significantly more time to be spent on other tasks that are more productive than simple data entry.
Last but not least and has become a favorite of ours internally is the introduction or enhancement of Rich Text variables. We were aiming with this feature to give people a bit of a wider range and a bit more wiggle room with their formatting process, which had not been available to this point. This will offer a greater sense of freedom during the creation process and allow users to spread their wings a bit wider.
While still in Beta, this feature gives users the ability to define variables that will receive rich text content. This means you are able to highlight information, change font style, font color, and even bulleted lists that will be added to the respective variable placeholders in the populated document template itself. A real game changer!
We did our best with this feature along with the other features highlighted above to create more flexibility and customization that you’ve all come to know and (hopefully) love with DocQ.
